Why vote for me?
Since I was elected as an independent Lane Cove Councillor in 2021, I’ve worked hard for our community.
I’d love to continue that work.
Here's a summary of some of my achievements and the initiatives or proposals that I’ve championed in my first term.
I’m about connected, green and creative communities

Established a dedicated multi-purpose theatre space for performing arts groups
Activated the Public Art Advisory Committee
Increased the value of the Lane Cove Art Prize and made it acquisitional
Established a commitment to the restoration of Lucretia Baths in Longueville
Supported plans to progress a new Skate Park at Blackman Park

Lobbied for increased fines for tree vandalism and for council trees to be recognized as assets in the IP&R Framework
Utilised Central Ward funds to repair local bushwalk paths
Protected an endangered area of Turpentine bushland from development near the proposed Lane Cove Sport and Recreation Centre
Advocated for the recognition and protection of bushland adjacent to the Western side of the Lane Cove golf course

Supported council initiatives for a bulk-buy solar panel program and removing gas from council facilities
Eliminated fossil fuel advertising and sponsorship within our area
Supported the review of the Council's investment portfolio concerning exposure to fossil fuels

In my role as cofounder of TSLOT, created the Lane Cove branch of The Sydney Library of Things, which oversees the new Lane Cove Toy Library
Advocated for a share kayak service at Burns Bay Reserve and Greenwich
Advocated for prioritising options for efficient water use and reviewing our storm water management
Implemented alternate soft-plastic recycling for the community after the collapse of RedCycle
Proposed a motion to the LGNSW Conference to encourage all councils to have a Library of Things, advocating for the share and circular economy
Pushed for council implementation of food organics and garden organics (FOGO) recycling prior to the NSW Government legislated deadline of 2030

Launched the Chatty Chairs initiative to address loneliness and support community mental wellbeing
Addressed the mental wellbeing of councillors, bullying, harassment, and intimidation
Advocated for an inclusive introduction to council meetings, a minute for personal reflection or prayer
I’m an advocate for community focused and appropriate development

Contributed to the creation of a new Council Development Control Plan (DCP) reflecting leadership in sustainable building
Advocated for sustainability measures to be included within the new Lane Cove Sport and Recreation development
Addressed reported bushland encroachments by private users on public Zone C2 – Environmental Conservation areas and identified education opportunities
I push for improved council communications and community engagement

Advocated for investment in a new Council website and was part of the Digital Transformation Reference Group to guide its development
Implemented a Resolution Tracking tool to keep track of the status of Council Motions
Enabled public reporting of Councillor attendance at briefings and council meetings
Supported and contributed to the implemention of a Staff and Councillor Interaction Policy
Supported increased community consultation on the Lane Cove Sports and Recreation Centre
Attempted to increase the number of councillors on the General Manager Review Committee from 3

Proposed a review of the Major Project Framework to provide more timely and detailed reporting of major projects
Lobbied for the location of the new Lane Cove Sport and Recreation centre to be a joint venture with neighboring councils to share the economic load of building and maintaining the centre
I support safe and sustainable transport options

Supported the installation of more electric vehicle charging points in our area
Lobbied for the location of the new Lane Cove Sport and Recreation centre to be nearer to existing public transport hubs
Supported lobbying efforts to the State Government on various issues, including the lack of bus services.
Initiated investigations for a local shuttle bus service

I also initiated a local Craft and Coffee event to facilitate community engagement and recently completed the UTS Executive Certificate for Elected Members.
Outside of my official roles, I'm also involved in Lane Cove Bushcare, the Lane Cove Sustainability Collective and I’m a member of the Lane Cove Compost Network and Lane Cove ShareWaste. I’m also a founding member of the Repair Cafe Sydney North (now reaching its 10th birthday) and co-founder of The Sydney Library of Things.
